The Art of Confessions

After assuming I didn’t get picked for my university’s workshop, I sent a text to my co-producer calling off the show. A month later I found out that my show, Confessions, was indeed chosen for the workshop.

I wanted to put on a show.

Not just any show, my own show. A show that communicated to everyone that I wasn’t just some girl in my university’s Theatre program. I was a writer. I am a writer.

As you can see in the first picture above, I talked myself out of it. I thought my shows weren’t good enough. I thought I might not be good enough.

After being tired of fading into the background, I decided enough was enough.
